Content and creative strategist based in Chicago.

“Content is the atomic particle of all marketing.”
— Rebecca Lieb

Intro and work

Well versed in content strategy, writing and creative direction, I started my career in Chicago as a book editor for a small educational publisher. Soon after, I moved on to agency work, where I wore several hats over the years as writer, account manager, and creative director. I also served as a production and creative director for architectural and engineering trade magazines—art directing the flagship magazine, Civil Engineering News. After consulting while my kids were young, I returned full-time to writing B2B content and thought leadership on the client side. And more recently, I have taken strategic roles in content and brand marketing, specifically in the areas of healthcare and supply chain.

Profile

I am an experienced writer, account manager, and creative strategist whose strength is working efficiently and thoughtfully to transform complex ideas into far-reaching, omni-channel content by cutting through the jargon to create a simple, clear, and impactful narrative. I have proven marketing strategy experience, exceptional writing and editorial skills, and I have managed writers and art directors in the creation of integrated campaigns, business development initiatives, and a variety of corporate, trade, and educational publications. I believe that content and data can’t work without one another and when used effectively, technology has the power to bring insight and innovation to impact a company's audience in a positive way.
